Nagaland became a state of India on 1st December 1963 and after the first election in January 1964, the first Nagaland Legislative Assembly was formed on 11 February 1964. Nagaland Legislative Assembly is follows a unicameral legislature. The present strength of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly is of 60 members. It is the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
