- Fiction Category: Veio Pou – Author of the book “Waiting for the dust to settle”.
- Non-Fiction Category: Wangto Chingmak – Author of the book “The Chang Nagas- In memory of our undefeated ancestors”.
The ‘Gordon Graham Prize for Naga Literature‘ is awarded annually by the Kohima Education Trust, founded by Gordon Graham. He was part of the 2nd Division and they fought the WWII in Kohima. Gordon always maintained that without the help of the Nagas, the British and Commonwealth soldiers could not have won that battle. For sixty years, Gordon thought about how to repay this debt of honour. He approached a Naga friend with ‘this’ idea. The veterans planned their final reunion in 2004, they resolved to found the Kohima Educational Trust (KET) as a debt of honour to the Naga people. Kohima Educational Society (KES), is a charity organization formed by leading Naga citizens in response to the formation of the Kohima Educational Trust. Support for the trust comes from the band of veterans; from the contemporary 2nd Division, and from individuals and organisations learning about the Kohima story. –Inputs from KET Website
