10 Dec 2023: 24th Edition Of Hornbill Festival 2023 culminated at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, Kohima
- The Hornbill Festival first started in the year 2000. The festival is held for 10 days from 1-10 December every year.
- The 24th Edition of the Hornbill Festival culminated on the 10 Dec 2023 at Kisama with Melinda Pavek, United States Consul General and Dr Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner gracing the event as honoured guests.

- Lucy Tungoe won Naga Chef season 10 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
- The Naga Chef is organized by Synergy Group Enterprise and supported by the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland. The event is held as part of Hornbill Festival.
- Pelevizo Meyase from Kohima won First Prize in HIPFEST (Photography) Competition as part of Hornbill Festival 2023.
- The HIPFEST is a photography competition-cum exhibition organized by Portrait Enterprise in association with the Department of Information & Public Relations and Department of Tourism as part of the Hornbill Festival.
- Pelevizo Meyase is a filmmaker, wildlife enthusiast, and video creator from Khonoma village in Nagaland. Meyase is also known for his 2021 film Narpuh Wildlife Sanctuary – Saving the Last Refuge, which was featured by the Wildlife Conservation Trust.
- Kadyr Kelsinbekov from Kyrgyzstan won Hornbill International Naga wrestling championship.
- For the first time in Naga Wrestling Competition history, Kadyr Kelsinbekov, ten times Champion of Kyrgyzstan in Belt wrestling defeated Chakhesang wrestler Huluyi D Vadeo becoming the new champion of the 16th Hornbill International Naga wrestling championship at Chiechama Amphitheatre.
- Arunachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister Pema Khandu graced the occasion as the chief guest with Nagaland’s Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as the host.
- First ever Meta Influencers Meet in North East held at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, Kohima, Nagaland on 7th October 2023.
- The event was hosted by TaFMA (Task Force for Music & Arts , Government of Nagaland).
09 Dec 2023: Neiketuno Sechü is Miss Nagaland 2023
- Neiketuno Sechü (19-year-old ) was crowned the coveted Miss Nagaland 2023 titled at a glittering ceremony held at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.
- Vimgha Sheqi (20) and Ilihika Aye (19) emerged as first and second runners-up respectively.
- Other subtitle winners included Miss Perfect Ten (Neiketuno Sechü), Miss Multi Media (Vimgha Sheqi), Miss Beautiful Skin (Keziah Mero), Miss Beautiful Smile (Tsiawavi Nyuwi), Miss Talent (Flora Kent), Miss Photogenic (Ilihika Aye) and Queen of Hearts (Katienla P Longchar).
- The 32nd edition of Miss Nagaland 2023 was organised by the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland in collaboration with Atomy India and Antodya Skills Foundation as the title sponsor. Altogether, 14 contestants from most of the districts in the State participated in the pageant.

09 Dec 2023: 1st North East Gorkha Cultural Festival held in Nagaland
- Nagaland hosted the 1st North East Gorkha Cultural Festival which was held at at Singrijan Village, Chümoukedima on 9th Dec. 2023.
- Nagaland Governor La Ganesan graced the 1st North East Gorkha Cultural Festival organised by the Hamro Chinhari North East.
03 Dec 2023: NDPP candidate Wangpang Konyak wins Nagaland Tapi bypoll election
- Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate Shri Wangpang Konyak defeated Congress candidate Shri Wanglem Konyak by 5,333 votes to win the 43-Tapi (ST) Assembly Constituency seat.
- Due to the demise of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) MLA Noke Wangnao on August 28, 2023, by-poll at the Tapi Assembly Constituency in Mon was necessitated. The voting took place in 23 polling stations on November 7, 2023.
- Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected Member, Wangpang Konyak (NDPP) on 11th December, 2023.

06 Oct 2023: Tuensang District Hospital awarded the best government district hospital in Nagaland.
Kayakalp Award 2022-2023 Nagaland winners:
- Tuensang District Hospital was awarded the Kayakalp Award 2022-2023 for the best government district hospital in Nagaland.
- Tuensang District Hospital also received the Ecofriendly Award.
- Other categories includes:
- CHC Aboi Mon -awarded for best Community Health Centre category
- Chuchuyimlang PHC – awarded for Best Primary Health Centre
- Mopungchuket Health and Wellness Centre- sub-centre was awarded the best Health and Wellness Centre in the state.
Kayakalp Award 2021-2022 Nagaland winners:
- Best government district hospital in Nagaland 2021-2022: Dimapur District Hospital, followed by Tuensang District Hospital and Kiphire District Hospital.
- Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital Mokokchung received the eco-friendly award 2021-2022.
Kayakalp– A Clean Hospital Initiative award, launched by National Health Mission, has been accorded to Public Hospitals to incentivize and recognize “Exemplary Performances”. Kayakalp Program envisages promotion of Cleanliness and Hygiene, Enhancement of Quality of care, and Infection Control Practices as a critical part of all Hospitals.
