24 Feb. 2022 : Tseminyu district officially inaugurated

The 13th district of Nagaland, Tseminyu district was officially inaugurated on 24 Feb. 2022 by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in Tseminyu. Tseminyu was notified a new district on 20 Dec. 2021.

A monolith was unveiled by CM, Nagaland at the deputy commissioner’s office complex to mark the district’s inauguration, in the presence of the lone legislator from the Rengma Naga tribe, R Khing, Advisor to the department of Animal husbandry & veterinary services, woman resources development.

As per information given out by Dr Zasekuolie Chüsi, DC of Tseminyu district:

  • There are 39 villages and three unrecognized villages under Tseminyu district
  • Population :56,108.
  • The literacy rate of Tseminyu district: 81.71℅
  • Sex ratio :1022, as per 2011 census.
  • The district at present has two administrative headquarters and one notified township with two RD blocks.

28 Feb. 2022 : Nagaland Govt. relaxes age for entry into government service by 2 years

As per notification by Dept. of Personnel and Administrative Reforms dated 28 Feb. 2022, age for entry into government service have been relaxed by two years w.e.f. 22nd April 2022 in view of the disruption in recruitment due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
